The charging station includes 8 500kW high-power charging devices, 8 wireless charging parking spaces and 8 60kW V2G (CTOnews.com note: Vehicle to grid, electric vehicle access technology, or called vehicle-network interaction) charging piles, which officials say is equivalent to an all-round "super fast charging station" for new energy vehicles. At the same time, according to Science and Technology Daily, the charging station is also the first charging station in China with high power, wireless charging and V2G functions.

This electric vehicle charging facility was built and put into operation by Hangzhou Power Supply Company of State Grid Corporation of China. It is said that the high-power charging pile put into use this time can achieve the fastest charge of 60 kWh in 15 minutes, and the electric vehicle supporting wireless charging can realize "stop-and-charge."

Among them, the high-power charging pile is equipped with new silicon carbide semiconductor power devices and forced liquid cooling technology. The official said that the whole has the following characteristics:

Charging efficiency is 1.4 times higher than common fast charging piles and 3.1 times higher than slow charging piles.

Li Haoshuai, a staff member of Xiaoshan Strict Power Supply Company of State Grid Hangzhou City, pointed out that "the wireless charging facilities and principles of the Asian Games Village charging station are similar to the wireless charging of mobile phones and headphones in our daily life. They transmit and receive electric energy respectively through charging facilities and coils in cars. In addition, wireless charging of automobiles avoids the trouble of uniform interfaces and the safety risks of exposed conductors for contact charging."

In addition, the 60kW two-way V2G charging pile is also connected to the smart vehicle networking platform of the State Grid, claiming to realize real-time intelligent dispatching of "millisecond level" load. It has a two-way energy transmission function. According to the official introduction, users can transmit electricity to the grid at peak times and charge vehicles at low times to achieve the effect of "shifting peaks and filling valleys."

According to the announcement of Hangzhou Power Supply Company of State Grid Corporation of China, the installation of 809 charging facilities in 49 Asian Games competition venues in Hangzhou has been completed. As of June 30, Hangzhou City has built 1855 public charging and replacement power stations, more than 21,000 public charging piles, and the daily charging capacity of the whole society is about 2.56 million kWh, providing daily charging service for nearly 580,000 electric vehicles in Hangzhou.
