CTOnews.com, July 21, according to foreign technology media TechCrunch, in the Capture The Flag (CTF) hacker competition held in March this year, an Apple employee found a vulnerability in Google's Chrome browser, but the employee did not report it to Google in time, but concealed it.

The report said an employee from Apple's Security Engineering and Architecture (SEAR) named Gallileo was the first to discover the Chrome vulnerability, but did not report it to Google.

CTOnews.com note: Sisu, a HXP member of the CTF team, later reported the vulnerability to Google after learning of the situation, and Gallileo later explained that the vulnerability was not serious enough to delay the vulnerability report.

Gallileo said it took 2 work weeks to identify the cause of the Chrome vulnerability and write a proof of concept vulnerability. Gallileo, which was submitted to Apple on June 5, said it must be approved by the company before it can be reported to Google.
