Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, July 20, Google browser (Chrome) recently launched a much-anticipated feature: blocking swearing. This feature allows users to filter out indecent words when using the browser's real-time subtitle (Live Caption) function.
The real-time subtitle function can provide English subtitles for the media content played by users, but sometimes there may be dirty words in the subtitles that are not suitable to be displayed in public or meetings. Now, users can select the "Accessibility" option in the browser settings, and then turn on the "hide dirty words" (hide profanity) switch.
However, this feature is currently only available in the browser's Canary channel, which means it is still in the early stages of development, and there may be some bug.
CTOnews.com notes that Google browser is not the first software to add a feature to block swearing. As early as April this year, Microsoft's team collaboration software Teams and Windows 11's real-time subtitle function have introduced a similar feature, it seems that this feature is becoming a standard feature of more and more software.
