According to CTOnews.com news on July 20, Tesla has announced plans to expand his Berlin super factory, including battery production, and is currently seeking government approval.

Currently, the plant can produce more than 5000 Model Y models a week, but the carmaker has more efficient plans. The current plan is to produce 500000 cars a year, and hopes to achieve the target of producing 1 million cars and 100 GWh batteries a year after the expansion.

The expansion plan for the new plant will be carried out in three stages, and the first phase, if approved, will be put into operation in the first half of 2024.
