CTOnews.com quoted Bloomberg as saying that Apple's top priority in the past few months has been to press ahead with the AI project.

Similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, Microsoft's Bing, Google's Bard and other big language models, Apple has developed a "Ajax" framework for the AI project and its own internal chat robot, which some engineers call "Apple GPT".

The "Ajax" platform is based on Google's Jax machine learning framework and runs on Google Cloud. According to reports, Apple considered signing a contract with OpenAI and tried OpenAI's technology, but eventually abandoned the plan.

It is reported that Apple has no plans to release the Apple GPT, and Goolman said Apple may release it in 2024.

John John Giannandrea, Apple's head of artificial intelligence, and Craig Federighi, head of software engineering, are leading Apple's artificial intelligence efforts, according to the report.
