Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens, soft media new friends 2010825, EdgeOS, Microsoft to fear, Dest1n, Flyzuan, pick up stars, Spring6666 clues delivery! CTOnews.com, July 20, Microsoft today released a preview update of Win11 Build 23506 and released a new version of the ISO image download address for Dev Channel's Windows Insider project members.
The update of Win11 Build 23506 preview is as follows:
Through Windows Hello for Business, Microsoft has introduced Windows Hello for Business (WHFB) service into its Windows system to enhance the password-free experience, which provides a strong security protection solution for enterprises and helps customers enter the password-free future.
Enterprise customers can now set up EnablePasswordlessExperience policies that enhance the user experience on computers that join AAD to implement a core authentication scheme that does not require a password.
This new experience hides passwords in some Windows authentication schemes and, if necessary, uses schemes such as WHFB PIN reset for password-less recovery.
Once the policy is set, it removes passwords from the user experience, including device login and in-session authentication schemes (such as password Manager in Web browser, run as Administrator, or run as another user), and user account Control (UAC).
Users will use WHFB instead of passwords to browse their core authentication scenarios. If a user fails to log in, no IT technical support is required, and recovery mechanisms such as PIN reset or Web login can be used to help users recover their credentials.
Copy and paste insecure passwords will jump out of the warning Microsoft Defender SmartScreen to introduce enhanced phishing protection, which can protect Microsoft education and work accounts from phishing and unsafe use in websites and applications from the beginning of Win11 Version 22H2 updates.
Microsoft is trying to make changes from this release. Users can enable the Windows security warning option under application and browser controls > reputation-based protection > phishing protection, and then copying and pasting insecure passwords will pop out of the UI warning.
Improved local file sharing Microsoft has improved the built-in Windows sharing window to make it easy for users to share local files.
According to the report, CTOnews.com summarizes the improvements as follows:
To better conform to the design principles of Windows 11, the Windows sharing window has been redesigned.
Anyone can now email files directly in the Windows sharing window via Outlook by clicking the Outlook icon under the "share using the following" section of the Windows sharing window.
The Windows sharing window now has a search box, so you can now search for contacts in Outlook to share files, and the Windows sharing window will now display 8-10 suggested contacts for quick sharing and files can be sent by email.
Share to nearby devices (Nearby Share) to cancel the drop-down menu and change it to button design.
Share to nearby devices and you can top your own PC devices.
With Wi-Fi Direct, files are shared more quickly from one PC to another PC.
In addition to the sharing icon at the top of the right-click menu, Microsoft has added "share" to the right-click menu in File Explorer.
Microsoft says these experiences will apply to desktops, file explorer, photos, screenshot tools, Xbox and other applications that use the built-in Windows sharing window to share local files.
Pre-install the new version of Outlook for Windows Microsoft said that from this version, it will preinstall the new version of the Outlook for Windows application.
Microsoft says that with the new Outlook for Windows, you can connect work and personal emails, calendars and contacts to a secure location.
Post-OOBE experience Microsoft is improving OOBE (out of box experience, the first boot experience) and is currently testing three new experiences:
If the user selects "Development Intent" in the "Let's Customize Your Experience" (custom experience) in the OOBE boot settings for the first time, the Dev Home application will be launched automatically after completing the OOBE entry to the desktop.
In the OOBE first boot settings, if you select "Development Intent" in "Let's Customize Your Experience" (custom experience), the "Get Started" application will be launched automatically after completing the OOBE to enter the desktop. The "Get Started" application will automatically show the personalized process to the user, help the user understand the information of the Dev Home application, and help the user open the Dev Home.
The user selects the "restore" option in the OOBE boot settings for the first time, and automatically opens "Get Started" after the device restarts. The application will show the user a personalized process, help you understand key applications and settings, tell you that Windows has been restored on the device, and show you how to access the restored application on the start menu or taskbar.
[added] automatic Color Management (ACM) extension Microsoft launched Auto Color Management (hardware accelerated system-level Color Management) for some eligible SDR displays last fall.
Microsoft now invites all Windows Insider members of Dev Channel to test opening ACM on SDR monitors to ensure that all Windows applications are displayed accurately on supported monitors.
To open ACM, go to Settings > display > Advanced display, select the correct display, and open automatically manage colors for applications.
ACM requires the following conditions: WDDM driver version 3.0 or later
Supported GPU:AMD:
AMD RX 400Series or later
Ryzen processor with Radeon Graphics
Intel:
Integration: Intel Generation 12 (Alder Lake) or later
Stand-alone video card: Intel DG 1 or later
Nvidia: NVIDIA GTX 10 xx or later (Pascal+)
There are no mandatory requirements for display or connection-ACM can even be used on an 8-bit sRGB panel. However, Microsoft strongly recommends that ACM devices use panels with a wider color gamut than sRGB, and that each color channel can be 10 bits or higher.
Changes and improvements [Windows Copilot] Microsoft launched the Windows Copilot preview in the Win11 Build 23493 preview, which is now available to all Dev channel users and may need to be rebooted to see the changes.
[Emoji] Microsoft upgraded the color font format to COLRv1, allowing the Win11 system to display richer emoticons with a 3D-like stereoscopic appearance.
These emoticons use gradients to bring the design style that customers have been asking for, and enrich users' expression by introducing new emoticons.
[Voice Access] you can now open Voice Access by locking the accessibility eject button on the screen.
[backup and restore] in addition to the new Windows backup application, you can now configure backup preferences in the second opportunity out-of-the-box experience (SCOOBE) so that your applications, settings, credentials, and files are backed up in the cloud the way you want.
[settings] due to a BUG in the preview version of Build 23493, some Insider encountered instability, and Microsoft temporarily disabled the new settings main page.
We have added two additional energy recommendations under Settings > system > Power and Battery > Energy suggestion to turn on dark mode and adjust the refresh rate to save energy.
