CTOnews.com, July 19 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- Unity announced today that its "PolySpatial" platform for Apple Vision Pro headsets has entered a testing phase, providing developers with a way to create and migrate 3D experiences to Apple Vision Pro.

CTOnews.com noted that the PolySpatial platform, released on WWDC earlier this year, provides a familiar workflow for developers who have already used the Unity engine to reduce barriers to the development process. Most importantly, PolySpatial can be used to port existing games to visionOS systems. For example, the game "What the Golf?", which has been crowdfunded successfully on Apple Arcade, is being ported to visionOS using the PolySpatial platform. Marc Whitten, general manager of Unity Create, said to TechCrunch:

Unity has not yet provided a timetable for the public release of the PolySpatial platform, but from today, developers who have signed up for testing will be given early access in batches.
