Cameron continued, "you can imagine a battlefield with AI, where the whole war is fought by computers at a speed that humans can't intervene, and you don't have any ability to defuse things."

In addition to talking about AI, Cameron also expressed his views on the ongoing strikes by the American Writers Guild (WGA) and the American Film and Television Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA). One of the main reasons for the strike is that producers are using AI to replace human creators. Cameron does not think that AI has reached a level that can replace talented writers.

"it's not a question of who wrote it, it's a question of whether it's a good story," Cameron said. "I personally don't believe in a mind without a body. I just repeat what other bodily minds have said-about the life, love, lies, fear, death they have experienced-and then mix them into a mess and spit it out. I don't believe it can move the audience."
