CTOnews.com July 19 news, Framework Laptop 16 modular notebooks were opened overseas yesterday, the first batch will be shipped in the fourth quarter of 2023. Foreign media The Verge took the lead in using this notebook, showing its unique design of the extended Bay unique display module.

As shown in the figure above, the extended Bay of the Framework Laptop 16 can be selected as the RX 7700S stand-alone model and the model with no unique display and only dual fans.

As shown in the figure above, the RX 7700S single display module uses double fans and double heat pipes to dissipate heat. Officially, the design power consumption is supported to 210W, but the power consumption of the RX 7700S is only 100W.

In terms of connection, this unique display module only needs to be pushed into the back of the notebook to connect with the motherboard through the slot designed by Framework. Judging from the picture, the heat dissipation of the CPU also depends on the expansion of the Bay's two fans.

As CTOnews.com reported earlier, the Framework Laptop 16's unsystematic DIY version costs $1399 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 10031 yuan), comes with a R7 7840HS processor by default and is optional with R9 7940HS.
