Smartphone manufacturers are paying more and more attention to fast charging, with an average power of 34W in the first quarter of 2023. For comparison, the first quarter of 2022 was 30W and the first quarter of 2018 was 18W.

Chinese smartphone brands are leading this trend, with an average fast charge of more than 50W. Instead of joining the campaign to boost power, Apple and Samsung pay more attention to battery safety and overall performance.

Chinese brands are using fast charging as a selling point to attract consumers. For example, realme and Xiaomi provide more than 200W of smartphone power.

In addition, Xiaomi and OPPO recently showed off smartphones with impressive 300W fast charging capabilities.

The goal of these brands is to provide extremely fast charging speed, allowing users to charge their phones in minutes.
