CTOnews.com, July 19, according to DigiTimes, although it has been reported that Samsung has surpassed TSMC in 3nm process yield, AMD is unlikely to transfer the 3nm order to Samsung OEM.

Su Zifeng, CEO of AMD, recently met with Wei Zhijia, CEO of TSMC, to discuss key areas such as the next generation 3nm process.

Although the two sides have not disclosed the latest cooperation intention, DigiTimes believes that the cooperation between the two sides has been at least 2 years, and this cooperation can only be deepened and will continue into the 2nm process.

CTOnews.com previously reported that according to a recent report released by Hi Investment & Securities, the yield of Samsung Foundry in the 3nm process reached 60 per cent, higher than that of TSMC (55 per cent).
