According to reports, in the first half of this year, three Kunlong AG600 test planes carried out 172sorties and 430h test flights in parallel in Zhuhai, Pucheng, Jingmen, Anshun, Liupanshui and Xichang, completing platform operation and stability subjects such as aircraft body stall and maneuverability, and fire fighting mission system verification. To complete the verification of various mission modes, such as 12-ton throwing, 6-ton and 3-ton continuous throwing, level flight, turning and diving, 2300m, 220m, 284km / h, etc., the relevant technical indicators meet the design requirements, and at this stage, it has the actual combat application ability to safely deploy to carry out fire-fighting tasks.

The China Special aircraft Research Institute revealed that at present, the "Kunlong" AG600, which has a fully independent core airborne system, has fully entered the airworthiness verification stage and plans to obtain a model certificate in 2024.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the maximum take-off weight of AG600 full-state new configuration fire extinguisher is 60 tons and the maximum carrying capacity is 12 tons, which fills the gap of domestic large aviation fire extinguishing aircraft. The machine is equipped with a pressurized chamber, a telex flight control and integrated avionics, and a full mission system.

It is worth mentioning that the machine is based on the domestic industrial chain, supply chain and innovation chain, and has achieved 100% domestic independent support, including engines and key airborne systems.
