In 2022, the operating profit of Samsung's electronic device solutions division was as high as 23.82 trillion won. The operating loss of more than 10 trillion won this year also reflects the challenges facing the semiconductor industry this year.

Since the device solutions division where semiconductors are located is the main source of profit for Samsung Electronics, their operating losses are bound to affect Samsung Electronics' overall profit situation.

For Samsung Electronics' operating profit this year, a number of securities companies are expected to be 8.9 trillion won, down sharply from last year's 43.38 trillion won.
