The report said Samsung vigorously developed 3nm, continuously improved the production process, improved the production yield, and has now increased the yield to 60%. The media believes that Samsung will outperform TSMC in ultra-advanced chip manufacturing technology.

The report also pointed out that Samsung currently has a yield of 75% in the 4nm process, which is far from TSMC (80%), but it is expected to surpass TSMC in the future by pushing 3nm.

The report also pointed out that since most of TSMC's orders were booked by Apple, Nvidia, Qualcomm and other companies were interested in Samsung's second-generation 3nm (SF3) process.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Samsung Foundry announced the latest process technology roadmap at SFF 2023, and the company plans to launch the SF2 process at the 2 nm level in 2025 and the SF1.4 process at the 1.4 nm level in 2027. At the same time, the company also announced some characteristics of the SF2 process.
