Elon Musk, chief executive of Tesla, unveiled his AI company xAI last week and said the company's goal was to "understand the true nature of the universe".

Speaking on Twitter Spaces on Friday, Mr Musk said xAI's goal was to build a "good AGI" with "maximum curiosity" and "pragmatism". XAI will also work to create useful AI technology and will compete with companies such as OpenAI and Google in AI.

Musk also said that competition in the AI field makes sense to prevent a company from becoming dominant, and competition will make the company more honest. However, xAI is just in its infancy and is still in its infancy.

Musk has been critical of OpenAI, which he co-founded in 2015. He believes that OpenAI is biased against the censorship of some of the content of AI chat robots. He has previously said he wants to create his own chat robot "TruthGPT" (truth GPT).

In the Twitter Spaces discussion, Musk said xAI's technology could give an answer that people think is "controversial". However, there is a "great danger" in training AI to be politically correct, or to say something that seems right. He promised that xAI would allow the AI model to express what it really "believes".

Musk said that such an approach may attract some criticism, but his goal is to build an AI that strictly pursues the truth.
