CTOnews.com July 18, Microsoft released a preview update of Win11 Build 23493 for Windows Insider users of Dev channel on June 30. The biggest highlight is the introduction of a new AI assistant, Copilot.

At the beginning of its launch, Microsoft invited only some Dev channel users to test Copilot, but quietly updated the blog post on July 13, saying it was open to all Dev channel users.

Microsoft officials have not made much fanfare, so the announcement was not made public until recently. The updated contents of CTOnews.com translation are as follows:

The Windows Copilot preview is now available for all Windows Insider in the Dev channel, and Insider may need to be restarted to show it.

Users only need to click the new button (or WIN + C) on the taskbar to start Windows Copilot. Windows Copilot will log in using either a Microsoft account or an Azure Active Directory account.

Windows Copilot will appear as docked in the sidebar on the right, will not overlap with desktop content, and will run separately next to the open application window, where users can interact with Windows Copilot at any time.
