CTOnews.com, July 18 (Xinhua)-- British retailer Tesco will stop selling physical games in its 2800 stores and will no longer replenish existing inventory, but digital scorecards can still be purchased through its outlets, Gamesindustry.biz reported.

Tuyuan Gamesindustry.bizTesco said it stopped selling physical games because players were gradually turning to digital ones. It follows news that GameStop, the world's largest retailer of video games and entertainment software, has closed 35 stores in Ireland.

It is understood that the British game market is becoming more and more digital, with less than 18% of the four big games in June-Diablo 4, final Fantasy 16, Street Fighter 6 and F1 23 sold through brick-and-mortar stores.
