CTOnews.com July 18, Microsoft recently introduced a new extension to Visual Studio Code to make it easy for developers to create cross-platform applications using the .NET MAUI (Multi-platform Application UI).

The extension has been launched on Visual Studio Marketplace and GitHub platforms and provides rich features to help developers develop and debug .NET MAUI applications.

Users can also use .NET MAUI Framework templates to create new applications, migrate existing applications, use code snippets to quickly insert commonly used elements, use IntelliSense to compile code and document, debug code and fix problems, and use hot reload (hot reload) and hot restart to view changes without losing the application.

One of the most exciting features of this extension is support for Blazor WebAssembly, which enables you to run Web applications on any device using .NET and Web standards.

Using Blazor WebAssembly, developers can create hybrid applications that integrate web pages and native UI elements, providing you with more flexibility and creativity. For example, you can use the Web view to display a chart or map in an application, or use native controls to interact with device features such as a camera or GPS.
