That's less than the 3.2 million people in PUBG: the Battlefield, but it's still amazing considering that Legion Fortress 2 is already an old game and has moved from a paid model to a free one in 2011.

According to the SteamDB website, the game's popularity has never been so high, even surpassing its peak after free in 2011. The recent record of 253997 is also more than double the 167591 in December last year. This surge in popularity may be related to Valve's new Legion Fortress 2 summer event, which adds a number of new maps, new actions, new special effects, new accessories and so on to the game.
