BAIC Langu expects to achieve a net profit of-2.65 billion yuan to-2.35 billion yuan after deducting non-recurring profits and losses belonging to shareholders of listed companies in the half of 2023.

In the same period last year, BAIC Langu's net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was-2.1811822 billion yuan. The net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses belonging to shareholders of listed companies is-2.2037893 billion yuan.

For the main reasons for the current performance pre-loss, BAIC Langu summed up as follows:

(1) the competition in the new energy vehicle market is further intensified, and prices continue to decline, squeezing profit margins.

(2) the company's products are still in a continuous climbing period, the scale effect is insufficient, and the product cost is continuously under pressure.

(3) in order to cope with the market competition and enhance the competitiveness of products and brands, the company continues to invest in technology research and development and brand channel construction, which has an impact on the company's performance.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, by the end of May, Jihu had established sales channels in 70% of third-tier cities and 21% of fourth-tier cities, and will continue to accelerate the layout of third-and fourth-tier markets to meet market and consumer demand.

BAIC Langu previously said in an institutional survey that the company plans to increase its channel outlets to about 280 in 2023, and in continuing to dig deep into the key markets of first-tier core cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, as well as second-tier cities such as Zhengzhou, Chengdu and Hangzhou, the layout will begin in third-and fourth-tier cities based on good economic vitality, high acceptance of new energy and rapid growth in consumer demand.

In June this year, Beijing New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of BAIC Blue Valley, produced 1513 vehicles in June, compared with 4755 vehicles from January to June in the same period last year, and 6082 vehicles in the same period last year, down 21.82% from the same period last year.

BAIC Langu sold 11224 vehicles in the same period, compared with 3597 in the same period last year, and 35191 in January-June and 17010 in the same period last year, up 106.88 per cent from a year earlier.
