CTOnews.com, July 17, according to foreign media gonintendo, last summer, the Switch helped the Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI) find a 15-year-old missing girl 2000 miles from home in Virginia (missing in Virginia on August 3, 2022).

CTOnews.com learned from ABC that Ethan Ethan Roberts, 28, picked up the missing girl in Virginia after becoming friends online, then kidnapped the girl and forced her to come into contact with children's inappropriate products. During the kidnapping, Roberts allowed the girl to carry her Switch game console-which is the key to solving the case.

While in Amazon, the girl used Switch to download the game and log on to YouTube. One of her friends saw the girl's name on the list of Switch events and immediately contacted the authorities and informed the news.

Upon receiving the message, FBI immediately contacted Nintendo, obtained the IP address of the Switch and found the kidnapper's apartment building. FBI and Tolson police then arrested Roberts and found the girl, who was accused of being involved in the transportation of inappropriate products for children and people who intended to engage in criminal activities.

At present, the girl has returned to her family safe and sound-just 11 days after she disappeared. In April, Roberts was sentenced to 30 years in a federal prison.
