The specific reason is that local consumers have found that Volkswagen's compact all-electric sedan ID.3 sells for much less in China than in its hometown in Germany. However, a more interesting thing came, some netizens posted the sales statistics of Chinese automobile websites, revealing the reality: "however, Chinese consumers do not like Volkswagen ID.3."

CTOnews.com previously reported that on July 7, SAIC Volkswagen announced that the 2023 ID.3 to Gao Lijian 37000 yuan, the price from 125900 yuan, limited to 7000 units, as of July 31.
