CTOnews.com, July 17 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- Intel will release Raptor Lake-S, the 13th-generation Core processor, around October this year. Next year, Intel will launch Arrow Lake-S, a new architecture processor under the brand Core Ultra. According to foreign media Igor's Lab, the CPU of Arrow Lake-S can be improved by 21%, and the kernel performance of the new architecture will double.

As shown in the figure above, the Arrow Lake-S flagship model is also designed with 8 large cores + 16 small cores, the same as the current flagship i9-13900K, and it was previously reported that there is also a model with 8x32 core configuration.

In terms of power consumption, the PL2 power consumption of Arrow Lake-S is 250W, compared with 253W for i9-13900K, there is little difference.

In terms of performance, the core 14 generation i9-14900K may have an improvement of less than 5% compared to the i9-13900K, but the Arrow Lake-S of the new architecture can be improved by double digits, up to 21%.

In terms of verification, Intel desktop processor Arrow Lake-S will also upgrade the new architecture, which can be up to 2.4 times the current 3DMark TimeSpy running score.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the Arrow Lake-S will be launched later in 2024, and its supporting motherboard will be 800 series.
