CTOnews.com learned from the report that the number of e-sports users in China is expected to reach 478 million in 2023. It is estimated that women account for nearly 50% (47.3%) of e-sports users, 25-44-year-old groups account for a large proportion of the total users, and 46.2% have bachelor's degree or above.

According to the survey data, 73.6% of Chinese e-sports users watch e-sports at least once a week, up 7.2% from the 2022 survey, and 84% of Chinese e-sports users watch the games for more than one hour a week.

According to the report, 87.3% of Chinese e-sports users spent on e-sports, an increase of 9.6% compared with the same data in the 2022 survey. The biggest increases were "participating in group events" and "watching games on the spot".
