CTOnews.com learned from Zhuzhou that the smart track will be used in urban transportation services in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The vehicle uses hydrogen energy power system for the first time, which has the advantages of longer mileage, shorter hydrogenation time, lower carbon, energy saving and environmental protection.

The vehicle uses a 70MPa hydrogen storage system and a high-power fuel cell system with a driving range of up to 245km. The vehicle is loaded with a distributed power system with a more compact structure, lighter weight and stronger power.

CRRC Zhihang, which is owned by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, won the bid for Kuching Intelligent track Project in Malaysia in 2022, with a total of 3 lines, a total of 69.9 km, equipped with 38 smart trams. After arriving in Malaysia, the train will conduct a three-month test run in the city of Kuching.
