CTOnews.com, July 15 (Xinhua)-- Apple has introduced a feature called Live Voicemail in its iOS 17 system, which can transcribe users' voice messages to help users control unknown incoming calls.

After turning on the Live Voicemail function, users will bypass the standard voicemail function. As Apple replaces the wording, callers may get caught up in the waiting process.

This is mainly because Apple's description of the functions of the Live Voicemail is misleading.

When someone calls and starts to leave a message, the user will see the text transcribed in real time while the other person is talking. If the user wants to talk to the caller, he can answer the phone at any time.

Callers will be prompted by "the person you're calling may pick up" (the subscriber you dialed may answer the call).

One Reddit user responded:

I just received a voicemail explaining the intention of the call, and then I was silent for two minutes, thinking that I would get through.

Then they sent me a message saying that my phone was broken.

Apple's current Live Voicemail greeting will confuse them.
