CTOnews.com learned from FAW Toyota officials that from January to June, HEV sold a total of 99895 vehicles, accounting for 26% of the overall HEV market share, while medium and advanced models sold 170822 vehicles, accounting for 46%.

It is worth mentioning that FAW Toyota has previously announced that the new Prado will be made in China next year, in FAW Toyota Chengdu plant and Asian Dragon mixed production. It is understood that the new Prado project, internally known as the "P model", will be equipped with a 2.4T engine, maximum horsepower 279Ps and peak torque of 430N ·m.

FAW Toyota invested 586 million yuan to upgrade its Chengdu plant over a 10-month period, adding 278 employees.
