Under the new law, Apple only needs to extend its self-service program to all 27 EU countries and its complete product line to meet the requirements of the bill. Considering that the bill will not take effect until 2027 at the earliest, Apple has plenty of time to carry out the plan.
On the other hand, a former iFixit employee wrote that although the bill was 129 pages long, there was no clear definition of "easy to replace" from beginning to end.
