CTOnews.com, July 14 (Xinhua)-- Samsung's high-end S95C QD-OLED TV has been falsely advertised, officially claiming that the highest transmission rate of four HDMI 2.1 ports is 48 Gbps, while the latest test found only 40 Gbps.

HDTVTest's Vincent Teoh shared a detailed review of Samsung's S95C TV, saying Samsung followed LG's false CX WOLED campaign in 2020 and adopted a 40-Gbps HDMI 2.1port.

This also explains the feedback from some S95C TV users that they encountered the problem of signal loss when connecting the PC display output HDR content, mainly because the 40 Gbps transmission rate is not enough to support the transmission of 10-bit 4:4:4 4K video under 144Hz.

Teoh believes this restriction applies to last year's QN95B QLED TVs, as well as to all models equipped with One Connect external boxes. QN95C and S90C TV models without external boxes are not troubled by this problem.

The QD-OLED smart TV S95C is now available on Samsung's US website.

The 55-inch version starts at $1499 (CTOnews.com) and the 65-inch version starts at $1799 (currently about 12215 yuan). The 55-inch and 65-inch versions of the S95C are slightly more expensive than the previous generation of LG C2 OLED televisions.

The 65-inch version is still cheaper than LG's G2 OLED TV. The 77-inch version of the S95C is the largest size a user can buy and sells for as much as $4499.99 (currently about 30555 yuan). This is nearly $1000 (currently about 6790 yuan) more expensive than LG's G277in.
