CTOnews.com, July 14, Microsoft yesterday pushed a preview update of Win11 Build 25905 to Canary Channel's Windows Insider project members, one of the features not listed in the update log is support for Windows Update to fix the system.

Users who have upgraded to Win11 Build 25905 preview version do not need to use third-party tools such as ViveTool to enable a feature ID, and invite some Canary channel users to participate in the test, which should be released gradually at a later stage.

The repair system via Windows Update works by downloading the latest available version and installing it on the current system, while retaining all applications, games, files, and settings. After this process is complete, you should get a relatively "clean" system and resolve software errors.

CTOnews.com note: to check the new repair system, go to Settings > system > restore, and then click the reinstall now button.

Win11 will then confirm the operation with the user again (the pop-up window is in Win8 style). After confirmation, it will jump to the Windows Update page, automatically find available updates, and download the version that matches your current installation, and the repair version tag will be displayed.
