CTOnews.com July 13 news, BYD Automotive Japan recently announced that the electric car on sale BYD ATTO 3 (yuan PLUS overseas version) has been certified by the Ministry of Land and Transport of Japan on June 28.

CTOnews.com previously reported that BYD began selling the ATTO 3 in Japan in January, the first model BYD has launched in Japan. The car is priced at 4.4 million yen (currently about 227000 yuan) in Japan, including tax, and delivery began in March this year. After receiving a subsidy of 850000 yen, the price of the BYD ATTO 3 in Japan will drop to 3.55 million yen (currently about 184000 yuan).

BYD plans to build more than 20 showrooms in Japan this year, and the company hopes to have more than 100 dealers in Japan by the end of 2025. As BYD's first model for the global market, the BYD ATTO 3 exported a total of 40014 vehicles in 2022.
