The system consists of 77 2.6MW / 10.4366MWh (9.691MWh) lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage subunits, including 77 converter booster compartments and 154 energy storage battery compartments.

CTOnews.com learned from the official that the energy storage power station is located in the photovoltaic power generation park in Shache County, Xinjiang. It applies advanced system control technology, supports mass data and equipment access, and can realize "millisecond" fast power and collaborative control.

In terms of safety, the energy storage power station can ensure the safety of data storage under extreme fault conditions through high stability and high safety system design; fault prediction and health management based on large data are adopted to manage the whole life cycle of batteries, which can effectively identify abnormalities, diagnose faults, early warning and maintenance. At the same time, multi-level safety guarantee technology shall be applied to fire safety to accurately detect smoke and temperature changes, and multi-level alarm, automatic fire extinguishing and linkage fire extinguishing shall be carried out.

After the completion and operation of the energy storage power station, it will obviously support the peak shaving, frequency modulation and voltage regulation functions of the whole Xinjiang power grid, and further improve the safety and stability of the local power grid. According to the calculation of one charge and one discharge every day, 292 million kilowatt hours of electricity can be generated every year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 230,000 tons, equivalent to the monthly electricity demand of 500,000 residents at peak electricity consumption.
