CTOnews.com July 13 news, today's release of Windows 11 Canary preview version of Build 25905 has a problem: it cannot be installed on a computer using an Asustek motherboard.

This version has been blocked by Microsoft from installing on Asustek motherboard computers, but the reason is not clear. Microsoft says it is working to fix the problem. In the meantime, users using the Asustek motherboard will not be able to install Build 25905.

However, some users found that one of his Asustek computers (ASUS PRIME A320M-K) still successfully installed this version in the settings application through Windows updates.

MVP Rafael Rivera (@ WithinRafael), a former Windows developer, tweeted that the problem seemed to have something to do with Asustek AI Suite 3 (AsusSAIO.sys) + automatic login, not the motherboard, and guessed that the software could be installed by uninstalling it. Rivera also suspects that Microsoft is not actually blocking the update from being installed on Asus motherboard computers.

CTOnews.com noted that in addition to the problem with the Asustek motherboard, there is a known problem with this version, which is that devices connected to Ethernet may lose network connectivity after update. If this happens, the user can solve the problem by unplugging the Ethernet cable and plugging it back in.
