CTOnews.com July 13, Microsoft announced yesterday that Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One users will be able to record inappropriate content in voice chats in multiplayer games and report to Microsoft security team.

Recorded clips are stored locally for 24 hours, and players can report them immediately or at the end of the game. If the player chooses not to report, the clip will be deleted automatically after 24 hours and will not be uploaded to the Xbox server.

Microsoft said the clip was for review purposes only and could not be downloaded, shared or modified. If the Microsoft security team reviews the clip and determines that wrongdoing has occurred, they will take action against the offending player and notify the user who reported the behavior.

According to Microsoft, the feature will first be launched to English-speaking Xbox Insider players.

The Microsoft security team also stressed that Xbox's player reporting and evidence submission functions now cover all content, including text, images, video and voice, and Microsoft will continue its efforts to further support player security.
