CTOnews.com, July 13 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- Lucid, an American electric vehicle startup, has released production and delivery figures for the second quarter of 2023. Lucid's inventory fell in the second quarter of this year as sales outstripped production.

According to reports, Lucid produced 2173 vehicles in the quarter (up 204 per cent year-on-year) and delivered 1404 vehicles (up 107 per cent year-on-year), but it was slightly lower than in the first quarter. For reference, Lucid produced and sold 2314 and 1406 vehicles respectively in the first quarter.

In addition, the company began to deliver materials to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the Financial Times in February this year, Lucid has signed an agreement to produce 150000 electric vehicles a year in Saudi Arabia by 2025. It is reported that Lucid's factory will be located in King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia.

It is said that Lucid will hold a conference call at 2:30 Pacific time on Monday, August 7, 2023 to discuss its financial results for the second quarter of 2023.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, Aston Martin announced that it would pay $132 million (CTOnews.com Note: about 946 million yuan) in cash for Lucid's electric powertrain technology, and the Lucid Group will also supply batteries to the British luxury carmaker.

In addition, Lucid will take a 3.7 per cent stake in the UK luxury carmaker.

Lucid, which had set a production target of 10000-14000 vehicles in 2023 (an average of 2500-3500 vehicles per quarter), readjusted its production guidance on May 8 to more than 10000 vehicles this year.
