CTOnews.com, July 13 (Xinhua)-- Apple has once again expanded its self-driving (AV) test drive team to 152 people, up from 145in May, according to official data released by DMV in California.

Since March this year, the number of Apple's self-driving test cars has been stable at 66, neither new nor reduced.

CTOnews.com is enclosing official data from DMV, Calif., one of the significant changes is that Mercedes-Benz has been granted a driverless launch license to operate in the area.

Mercedes became the fourth manufacturer to be approved for driverless cars on the road, while the other three, Nuro, Cruise and Waymo, were licensed in 2021.

The self-driving fleet of Waymo,Zoox and Cruise increased slightly: six for Waymo, three for Zoom and 29 for Cruise. As of July 7, 2023, Apple had not yet applied for a self-driving license.
