In addition, with the extender lens (to be purchased separately), the ultra-telephoto focal length of the farthest 400mm can be achieved, and the macro shot at 1:1 magnification can be taken in the entire zoom range.

The FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G OSS II lens is 149mm long and weighs about 794g (excluding tripod mounting rings), with a volume reduction of about 15% and a weight reduction of about 46g compared with the previous generation.

The lens, with a focal length from 70mm to 200mm, is Sony's first macro shot with a maximum magnification of 0.5 times over the entire zoom range. Advanced aspheric lenses provide excellent resolution and contrast at the center and edge of the zoom range, while ED (ultra-low dispersion) lenses can effectively suppress chromatic aberration.

The FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G OSS II is also supported with an extender lens (to be purchased separately). With the ultra-telephoto performance of 400mm (the equivalent focal length can reach 600mm when used with an APS-C-frame microsingle ™), you can better capture distant objects and achieve a soft out-of-focus effect. When used with SEL20TC, macro shots can be taken at a magnification of 1:1 over the entire zoom range.

Sony's original XD linear motor increases autofocus speed by about 20%. Compared with the previous generation, the tracking performance of moving objects is also improved by about twice as much as that of the previous generation, sustainable and high-precision tracking of the target subject, and the tracking focusing performance of zoom is also greatly improved. When used with Sony's flagship microphone Alpha 1, it can achieve a high-speed continuous shot of about 30 shots per second.

In addition, the lens also adds MODE 3 anti-shake mode, optimizes the camera jitter correction algorithm, and has better scene stability when shooting moving objects. Combined with a compatible camera body, it can more effectively compensate for camera jitter to record clear and stable video.
