CTOnews.com noted that in the Chinese market, Porsche delivered 43800 new cars from January to June this year, up 8 per cent from a year earlier. Sales of the two iconic models, the 911 and the Taycan, both achieved double-digit growth in the first half of this year, up 57 per cent and 46 per cent respectively from a year earlier. The benchmark sports car Porsche delivered 26124 vehicles worldwide in the first half of the year, an increase of 21% over the same period last year. However, the global performance of the pure electric sports car Taycan fell 5% in the first half compared with the same period last year, delivering a total of 17991 vehicles. Porsche said pure electric sports cars continued to be heavily affected by a shortage of spare parts.
