CTOnews.com noted that in the Chinese market, Porsche delivered 43800 new cars from January to June this year, up 8 per cent from a year earlier. Sales of the two iconic models, the 911 and the Taycan, both achieved double-digit growth in the first half of this year, up 57 per cent and 46 per cent respectively from a year earlier. Meanwhile, Porsche's sales of change-of-hand cars are up 20% from the same period last year.

In other markets, Porsche also achieved double-digit growth. Among them, Porsche delivered 36600 new cars in the European market in the first half of the year, up 23% from the same period last year. In the German home market, new car delivery reached 17100, up 24% from the same period last year. North American market new car delivery reached 41900, an increase of 12% over the same period last year Overseas and other emerging markets, Porsche delivered a total of 27900 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 16%.

Porsche said the SUV remained one of the brand's most popular models, with Porsche Macan delivering 47755 new cars in the first half of the year, up 26% from a year earlier. Cayenne delivered 46884 new cars in the first half of the year, an increase of 12% over the same period last year.

The benchmark sports car Porsche delivered 26124 vehicles worldwide in the first half of the year, an increase of 21% over the same period last year. However, the global performance of the pure electric sports car Taycan fell 5% in the first half compared with the same period last year, delivering a total of 17991 vehicles. Porsche said pure electric sports cars continued to be heavily affected by a shortage of spare parts. In addition, the global delivery volume of Panamera in the first half of the year was 17565 vehicles, an increase of 13% over the same period last year.
