Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, July 12 (Xinhua)-- Ferrari has launched a new custom model, the KC23, built by the company's special project team in Maranello, Italy. This model is based on the 488 GT3 Evo racing car and shows the future direction of the Yuema brand. KC23 will make its debut at the Goodwood Speed Festival in the UK from July 13 to 16.
KC23 is the latest achievement of Ferrari's special project plan. Following the previous customized models such as BR20, SP51 and SP48 Unica, Ferrari has once again demonstrated its satisfaction with the personalized needs of customers. CTOnews.com noted that unlike other custom models, the KC23 is a track-specific car with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the 488GT3 Evo, but Ferrari did not disclose its maximum output. In the 488 GT3 Evo, the FIA limits its maximum power to 591hp and torque to 516lb-ft, but this engine has more potential.
In design, KC23 draws inspiration from Ferrari's Vision Gran Turismo concept car and Le Mans champion 499p, with electronically controlled removable flanks and huge removable rear wings that can change the appearance and aerodynamic performance of the body depending on its location. The front uses a low wedge shape and differentiates into a number of pneumatic elements, including a giant diffuser at the rear. The wheels use two-piece central locking wheels, and the body presents a smooth and elegant outline.
The interior of the KC23 also comes entirely from the 488 GT3, with a lot of buttons, and it looks like the owner needs some tutorials to know how to use it. The interior is also built entirely for the track, but there are also user-friendly configurations such as air conditioning vents to keep drivers cool when brushing circles, as well as anti-roll frames and rearview mirrors made up of three screens.
The price of the KC23 has not yet been disclosed, and Ferrari has confirmed that the car will be unveiled at the Goodwood Speed Festival from July 13 to 16, followed by an exhibition at the Maranello Ferrari Museum from August 1 to October 2.
