After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that from July 2022, all new energy models entering the European Union must meet the UNECE R155 / ECE R156 system certificate, which is formulated by the United Nations World vehicle regulations Coordination Forum, which is more stringent and difficult to apply. Cars must pass strict performance and audit requirements and obtain a series of certificates before they can enter the European market.

▲ Tupu UNECE reported that BYD recently won the first EU UNECE R155 / R156 system certificate for domestic commercial vehicles, which was held at BYD headquarters on July 10.

This is the first commercial vehicle system certificate of relevant network security standards after BYD won the first ISO / SAE 21434 system certificate and R155R156 system certificate for commercial vehicles.

The award of the certificate shows that BYD's cars have met the requirements of the latest EU regulations on network security and software updates, and is expected to lay a good foundation for BYD to dig deep into the European market and further explore the global market in the future.
