All the eight sons of Transformer have escaped now!

Transformer collaborator Llion Jones will leave Google at the end of this month, Bloomberg reported.

He currently works for Google Japan, referring to the reasons for his departure, he said:

It wasn't an easy decision to leave Google, but given the momentum of AI, it's time to try something different.

According to the report, he plans to take a break and then start a company.

In December 2017, eight Google researchers published a paper called Attention is All You Need.

Prior to this, six out of eight people have chosen to start their own business, one has moved to OpenAI, and basically got VC support as soon as Google came out.

In the entrepreneurial direction, there are people who choose to continue to engage in general artificial intelligence, some join the field of AI life sciences, and even play blockchain.

Illia Polosukhin, who started blockchain company NEAR Protocol in February 2017, was the first of eight to leave Google.

He is a major code contributor to Google TensorFlow's open source artificial intelligence project and was the project manager of the Google Deep Learning Group, leading the core search algorithm business for nearly 10 years.
