Users need to sign up for the Android Beta program and then automatically get wireless (OTA) updates for Android 14 Beta 4. Eligible devices include Pixel 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, as well as the latest addition of Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet series devices.

▲ Android 14 Beta 4 Egg fixed a problem reported by developers:

Fixed a system issue that caused notifications to stop displaying and Quick setup tiles to stop working until the device restarted.

Fixed a system issue that sometimes caused VoIP applications to stop recording audio when the screen was locked or when the application was placed in the background.

Fixed an issue where the title of the currently played song suddenly disappeared or was replaced by other information when the device was changed from always display mode to locked screen.

Fixed a problem that sometimes prevents the device from charging, or allows the device to charge but incorrectly reports a problem with the connected charging cord or accessories.

Fixed a system problem that sometimes caused the intelligent service of the Android system to crash.

Other issues that have been resolved:

Fixed an issue that caused the CredentialManager registry to fail when using multiple sets of credentials.

Fixed an issue where HealthConnect API returned a null pointer exception to the calling application in some cases.

Fixed a problem that could cause a loop to start and an "application not responding" message on some devices.
