CTOnews.com, July 11 (Xinhua)-- famous luxury car brand Rolls-Royce recently announced a tough measure that will permanently blacklist customers who buy their new electric car, the Spectre, and will no longer be allowed to buy any Rolls-Royce models. The policy has caused resentment among some high-end car dealers in London, who see it as a violation of customers' rights.

The Flash is the first pure electric car launched by Rolls-Royce and one of its most expensive models, with domestic prices starting at 5.75 million yuan. Because of its limited production and unique design, Flash is very popular in the market, and some rich people immediately resell it at a higher price to make a difference, which has become a common phenomenon in the field of supercars. For example, some limited edition models of Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini are often priced several times or even dozens of times higher than the original price in the secondary market.

However, Torsten M ü ller- ä tv ö s, CEO of Rolls-Royce, said they would not tolerate such behaviour as disrespect for brands and customers who really love their cars. "they will be blacklisted immediately and will never get a chance to buy our car again," he said in an interview with Car Dealer magazine magazine.

CTOnews.com notes that Rolls-Royce is not the first car brand to complain about reselling. As early as 2017, Andreas Andreas Preuninger, head of Porsche's GT division, said Porsche was monitoring which customers were reselling vehicles and limiting quotas for them to buy special models. "I personally like to see my cars used, that's why we make them, they're too good to be left to eat dust," he told Car and Driver magazine at the time. "I don't like people buying our cars to make money, which has never been our intention." Recently, GM also announced that if customers resell Chevrolet Z06 sports cars within a year, they will cancel some warranties and ban them from buying any future GM models.

The move has clearly angered some high-end car dealers, who make a lot of money from buying and selling valuable, limited-edition cars. Tom Tom Hartley, a British supercar dealer, expressed his dissatisfaction with Rolls-Royce's new policy to car Dealer magazine. "I have agreed to buy two shining cars from customers. I don't think carmakers have the right to tell customers who bought cars for nearly 500000 pounds what they shouldn't do."
