CTOnews.com, July 11 (Xinhua)-- the TIOBE programming Community Index, a measure of the popularity of programming languages, is judged by engineers, courses, suppliers and search engines around the world. TIOBE recently released a ranking of programming languages for July 2023.

It is reported that C++ surpassed Java to third on the list for the first time in December last year. Today, C++ is close to C, and the gap between the two is only 0.76%.

In addition, JavaScript reached sixth place on the list this month, an all-time high. Matlab, Scratch and Rust also tied their all-time highs, ranking 10th, 12th and 17th respectively, while COBOL re-entered the top 20 after a while.
