Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com July 11, Apple announced today that from July 25, the price of App Store apps in Egypt, Nigeria and several other countries and regions will rise due to changes in taxes and foreign exchange rates. This is the second price increase for App Store apps this year, and the last price increase was on February 16.

For ministry apps in Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania and Turkey, tax changes and other factors will drive up prices in Apple's App Store app store. Apple regularly informs developers that regional tax changes will affect their app pricing.

Apps and app purchases (excluding automatic renewal subscriptions) in stores in Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania and Turkey will be updated on July 25, according to an email sent by Apple to developers. If the developer's base store is in these countries or if they manage price changes manually, they don't need to take any action.

These price updates will take into account a series of tax changes, and the CTOnews.com attached a list of relevant adjustments as follows:

Egypt; introduction of 14% value-added tax (VAT)

Tanzania: introduction of 18% value-added tax and 2% digital services tax

Turkey: VAT increased from 18% to 20%

According to Apple, if the developer's app or the basic store purchased within the app is not in Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania or Turkey, then the price of those stores will rise. The price change does not include automatic subscription renewal.

Developers can check the pricing and availability section of My Apps in App Store Connect to see the upcoming price changes. Consumers outside the affected countries will not notice any change.
