CTOnews.com July 11, the Linux Mint community website shows that the team is testing the ISO image of Linux Mint 21.2 and, as before, is working on three different flavor versions of Cinnamon,MATE and Xfce.

The team released a public beta version two weeks ago and said on July 1 that it had collected more than 60 error reports and fixed many user feedback problems in a timely manner.

CTOnews.com Note: Linux Mint 21.2 code name "Victoria", based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) operating system supported by Canonical for a long time, uses Linux Kernel 5.15LTS.

Linux Mint 21.2 Beta has three desktop environments: Cinnamon 5.8 Magi Xfce 4.18 and MATE 1.26, and the main version is still Cinnamon 5.8.

This update optimizes touchpad and touchscreen gestures, introduces global dark mode for GTK4 / libadwaita applications, improves compatibility with Flatpak applications, supports a variety of new theme colors, accelerates Nemo file manager, and so on.

Linux Mint 21.2 also significantly improves the login manager, with better keyboard navigation, support for Wayland sessions, support for LXQt / Pademelon badges, configurable layout of onboard screen keyboards, scrollable session lists, and more.
