CTOnews.com, July 10, according to hardware whistleblower @ wnxod, Intel's upcoming next-generation desktop processor Core i7-14700K has appeared in CPU-Z and Cinebench test software and released screenshots of running points. The processor is said to have 8 performance cores and 12 performance cores and is a member of the Intel Raptor Lake family.

Judging from the picture, the processor has not been recognized by any software, only as Raptor Lake HX / S, the core code name of Intel's 14-generation Cooler series. The information on the CPU-Z page shows that the highest frequency of the CPU is 5.5GHz, which is only higher than the 100MHz of the previous generation of i7-13700K, but the increase in the number of cores should be more important.

CTOnews.com noted that CPU-Z 's test results showed that the single-core score of Core i7-14700K was 905 and the polynucleus score was 14965, 3.8 per cent and 18.2 per cent higher than Core i7-13700K, respectively. The test results of Cinebench R23 show that the single core score of Core i7-14700K is 2192 and the multi-core score is 36296, which is 4.2% and 16.9% higher than that of Core i7-13700K, respectively.

The running score shows that compared with the previous generation of Core i7-13700K, the Core i7-14700K has significantly improved multi-core performance, but the more important single-core performance has only improved by 4%. However, it is not known whether this is the final version of the processor or how compatible it is with the existing motherboard. Intel's next generation of Raptor Lake processors is expected to go on sale in October, with the first K-series processors, including the Core i7-14700K model.
