CTOnews.com, July 10, OpenAI announced yesterday the full opening of GPT-3.5 Turbo, DALL-E and Whisper API to help developers improve model processing efficiency. In addition, OpenAI also said that it is developing the follow-up functions of GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 Turbo, which are scheduled to be launched in the second half of this year.

OpenAI revealed that all current AI models called by API have been upgraded to GPT-4 by default, and existing users can use them without switching.

Note: Whisper API is a voice-to-text AI model, which can recognize users' voice, video and other media and convert them into text.

Note: Completions API is a natural language processing API that can be used for a variety of text generation tasks, such as generating abstracts, translation languages, generating articles, self-help questions and answers, etc.

OpenAI claims that developers can still call Completions API, but today OpenAI will mark the "old version of Completions" as "old API" in the developer file. OpenAI will concentrate its resources on Chat Completions API in the future and will no longer expose models that use Completions API.

CTOnews.com learned after inquiry that OpenAI said that it is expected that by January 4, 2024, the old model will be terminated, and Edits API will also be decommissioned. At the beginning of January next year, Edits API and related model users will have to transfer from the old model (text-davinci-edit-001 or code-davinci-edit-001) to GPT-3.5 Turbo,OpenAI.
