CTOnews.com July 10, Subaru today launched a new FORESTER Forest Man with a 2.5L horizontal counter engine, equipped with a standard EyeSight video control driving assistance system.

The new car is divided into two models: 2.5i AWD premium version EyeSight and 2.5i AWD flagship EyeSight. The official guidance price for the 2.5L model is expected to be officially released in September, with the traditional 2.0L version available:

According to reports, the new car uses a four-wheel drive design, 2.5L horizontal counter-four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine can provide 124kW / 169hp, 252Nm power, with CVT gearbox, the comprehensive fuel consumption under WLTP is 7.5L / 100km. The 2.0L model still carries the cash 2.0L hybrid system, which matches the CVT stepless gearbox.

The new car is equipped with left and right symmetrical full-time four-wheel drive system (Symmetrical AWD), which can automatically adjust the torque distribution of the front and rear axles according to driving conditions; the standard X-MODE has a clearance of 220mm from the ground, an approach angle of 21.5degrees, a departure angle of 25.8degrees and a longitudinal passing angle of 21.5degrees.

The new FORESTER Forest Man uses the "BOLDER Kokang" design language. The three-dimensional "waistline" runs from the grille to the car body, the headlights and fog lights are separated from the four corners, and the bumper guard plate protrudes forward, so that the lines of the car body have the power of Ben SUV.

The grille of the 2.5i AWD Premium EyeSight and 2.5i AWD flagship EyeSight models has been changed to black trim, with 18-inch wheels underneath, and the rear spoiler and shark fins have been blackened to make the new car look sporty.

In addition, the new Forest Man offers five body colors: pearlescent black, crystal pearlescent white, dazzling ice silver, skyline pearl blue and wild deep green, among which the wild deep green is the exclusive color matching of 2.5i AWD premium edition EyeSight and 2.5i AWD flagship EyeSight model.

The new car is equipped with an 8-inch central control display, which can display online maps and real-time road conditions through Wi-Fi. It also integrates Baidu CarLife smartphone interconnection function and WeLink function (requires mobile phone pre-installed related software). In addition to the 2.0iAWD luxury model, the top of the central control screen is equipped with an advanced multi-function color display, which can display real-time vehicle information (such as air conditioning and fuel consumption). The layout design minimizes the eye movement of the driver while driving.

This model is equipped with 8-direction electrically adjustable leather seats, front seat heating and 2.5i AWD premium EyeSight with rear seat heating function.

The new car is also equipped with EyeSight video driving assistance system and binocular stereoscopic camera, which supports anti-collision braking, emergency automatic steering assistance, full-speed adaptive cruise, lane center keeping / front car steering, starting throttle misoperation prevention, lane deviation correction assistance and alarm warning; and the flagship EyeSight also has DMS driver monitoring system.
