The operation was performed by Professor Zhou Liqun and Professor Li Xuesong of the Department of Urology of the first Hospital of Peking University in Beijing, Professor Huang Wei, the leader of the Department of Urology of Hainan Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine, and Professor Chen Cheng of the Department of Urology of the first Hospital of Peking University and Professor du Yicong.

CTOnews.com noted that this is the first surgical robot independently developed by China to transmit 5G signals across land and sea at the same time, and successfully completed difficult operations in clinic, overcoming the impact of changing environmental factors such as surge, temperature and weather on the continuous transmission of signals across the sea.

Experts from Hainan and Beijing have combined surgical robots with 5G communication technology to build an integrated system of "almost same frequency synchronization", which can ensure the continuous and stable signal transmission at the same time, Hainan Daily reported. The time difference of remote operation is controlled within 100 milliseconds, and the real-time exchange of information during operation is basically realized.

Professor Huang Wei, head of the Department of Urology at Hainan Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine, said that the manipulation of the surgical robot is minimally invasive and accurate, and "you can see it very clearly even if you magnify it 10-15 times." Cui Liang, director of urology at Beijing Civil Aviation General Hospital and co-founder of the domestic robot, pointed out that in addition to manipulation, the robot also realizes the marking function on real-time images. "this interactive teaching mode far improves the original concept of remote surgery."
